The wall clock lost letter O’ in your name

The first time you pronounced your name, I said SORRY,

You had to repeat,

From the first sight, I made a bracelet with your name and pretended

To know you like the back of my hand

On the day we met, our time keeping synchronized and we lost track of time

On our second date, you showed up late

On that day we became time keepers,

On our third date your ex showed up again in your words,

The last time you mentioned his name you swore it was the last time,

After our failed 4th date,

We chose to blame time for things not working out,

And now, the wrist watch on my hand is loose,

The wall clock lost letter O’ in your name,

9 O’clock now just passes by,

The last time I heard your name I lost the pronunciation again,

You said it took so long to move on from him,

I write this stuck in the past,

The hour hand on my wrist watch has hardly moved from the first time I met you,

I guess it says your hand in marriage returned to where it belongs,

I write this still stuck in the past,

The hour hand on my wrist watch has hardly moved from the day you showed up late,

Maybe it was the right time to walk away from my life,

Maybe what broke us was my choice to call text at your busy schedules

Free your mind, I am gone
